It seems the US are also just as obsessed as us Brits are with ‘Downton Abbey’. The Winterthur Museum (situated in Wilmington, a little south of Philadelphia) is about to host a ‘Costumes of Downton Abbey’ exhibition.
This is an original exhibition of exquisite designs from the award-winning television series with forty historically inspired costumes from the show which will be displayed and supplemented by photographs and vignettes inspired by the fictional program. If you’re planning a trip to the New Jersey area then it’s worth a visit – http://www.winterthur.org/downtonabbey………….We wonder if any of the pieces we supplied to the show made it into the exhibition?
If you can’t get to Winterthur Museum then don’t despair, here at Vintage to Vogue, we currently have some original beautiful 1920’s and 1930’s unique dresses and also menswear, so pop in and see us and we’d be delighted to show them to you.
