This wonderful umbrella is by Kendall. The company was founded by William Wheeler Kendall in 1870. He started selling umbrellas from a barbers shop in Northampton Street Leicester using Fox frames. By the 1960’s its umbrellas were being sold world wide and they had over 100 stores.
Selling to the Royal Family and even supplied 5 umbrellas to the 1952 expedition which conquered Everest.Throughout its history its emphasis has always been quality and high standards and regular advertised in Vogue and in the 1960,s used the model Twiggy for its photo shoots.
We have acquired this wonderful Kendall umbrella which has a rolled gold collar and Whangee bamboo handle. The classic bowler hat is a Scotts from Scott and Co 1, Old Bond Street Piccadilly, and hat maker to the Queen.
