This is a truly stunning and unique Edwardian cape made from a rich iridescent plum silk.
The pattern resembling an Edwardian cottage garden, is made up of hand embroidered flowers on the vine, which was popular design of the times.
The cape itself fastens with two large hook and eyes at the front and features two covered buttons and long fringes of silk that complement the cape perfectly.
At the back is a dainty loose hood, which also has the button and fringed silk detailing.
The lining is made of ecru silk and is quilted for additional warmth.
This cape is not perfect and has some fraying of the silk on the shoulders and around the neckline and some disintegration of the silk in the lining as well as some minor blemishes, but is still a wearable piece,
