A rare, couture wool skirt suit by Paris based Evelyne Mandel, with striking zig zag braiding, creating a powerful, classic silhouette for your vintage wardrobe.
Her V shaped, collared neckline is framed by soft shoulder pads sewn along each shoulder seam and full length sleeves, finished with cream covered wool buttons.
Her iconic cut accentuates a cinched waist with zig zag black braiding starting below the bustline and leading to the hem of the long jacket, giving a sleek, elegant look.
This is complimented by 5 large covered buttons that fasten the jacket at the front.
The tailored, above the knee skirt, sits under the jacket and boasts a simple waistband.
Both Jacket and skirt are fully lined. A truly well made suit that has stood the test of time and is still wearable to any occasion today.
